I enjoyed Netflix’s Heart of Stone, but my expectations were pretty low after Triple Frontier. It also wasn’t nearly as terrible as that Sentinel series from Amazon and it was at least as good as quite a few Bond movies.

Here’s a real graphic design problem: the Domino Sugar boxes look too similar. On a store shelf, with my old eyes, it’s too hard to easily and quickly distinguish one kind of Domino product from the other — particularly the Granulated vs Dark Brown sugar. The boxes should have more visual differentiation.

Google’s solution for the camera bump on their Pixel phones is much better than what Apple does on the iPhone. The Pixel is stable on a flat surface. The iPhone is awkward and wobbles. I don’t understand how Apple continues to ignore these little practical details. The hardware design continues to lag behind the software design when it comes to considering the user and everyday use.

Safari and Chrome will accept non-numerical inputs in the CSS max() function, including calc() values and custom properties, but Firefox adheres strictly to to the definition of the max() function and allows only numerical values.

Firefox’s behavior in this case is correct but also annoying.

It’s 2023 and some app developers still won’t make a good tablet version of their app. And no, for once I’m not referring specifically to Instagram.

So many recipe websites are Google ad hell, but buried under all that trash is occasionally a good recipe to copy down so you never, ever need to visit that site again.
